Ruined King, the League of Legends spin-off, will arrive in 2021

It's news that will get you off the couch even on a fall Sunday afternoon. Ruined King: A League of Legends Storythe solo spin-off of League of Legends, will finally be available on consoles in early 2021. For the moment, it seems, it will be possible to purchase the title for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 And Xbox One. But this will also be available on Steam and Epic Games Store, and later it will also arrive for the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series X / S. But beyond the launch date, there are other interesting details about Ruined King. Are you curious?

Ruined King, the League of Legends spin-off will be available soon

Beyond the hypothetical launch date, which appears to be set for early 2021, Riot Forge also provided some helpful details about the actual game. Apparently it would be a turn-based role-playing game and takes place in the Bilgewater and Shadow Isles regions of Runeterra, the planet where League of Legends is played. And that's not the only interesting news. In fact, the company also announced which League of Legends champions will appear as playable characters in Ruined King: Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke. Of course, there are no real gameplay previews yet, but it looks like we might see them soon. Maybe even in December.

The game will be the first release from Riot Games' new independent label Riot Forge, announced last year as part of a multi-developer collaboration aimed at expanding the League of Legends universe into new titles and/or genres . In addition to Ruined King, the new label is also working on Convergence: A League of Legends Story, which should soon be available on both console and PC. But even then, no confirmation for the release date.
