Resident Evil 8 Village details all editions and pre-order incentives
Resident Evil Village will arrive on May 7th on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC and there will be numerous editions available, including a pack with Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village.
Capcom has released all the artillery tonight, presenting the first gameplay of Resident Evil Village, the release date, the demo that is now available on PlayStation or the first details of the multiplayer. And of course, editions of Resident Evil Village.
Capcom has revealed the various editions that in some cases will be available to reserve from today, from digital to physical editions, as well as the incentives that can be obtained for reserving it. The digital editions, by reserving them, will all carry a mini soundtrack with a selection of songs as a gift.
In total there will be four editions of Resident Evil Village, and although it is still early to know prices, and if the editions will vary depending on the territory, this is what Capcom has presented tonight.
Resident Evil Village Standard Edition
It can be pre-ordered starting today, with a release date of May 7 on the PS Store, although it will also be on PC and Xbox (and with Next Gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S). It will have the game, and an exclusive gift if you reserve it on the PS Store (the aforementioned “mini” soundtrack).
Resident Evil Village Deluxe Edition
It will contain Resident Evil Village game plus additional digital content, such as the so-called Trauma Pack, which adds various objects, from a weapon, to filters in “found footage” scene as in Resident Evil 7, a save mechanism and more objects.
Resident Evil Village Collectors Edition
Crown jewel. Featuring a Chris Redfield figure, the game in a steelbook or metal box, a microfiber poster with the map of the game region, 64-page art book, Trauma Pack code (digital items) and a special box. The price is unknown and, at the moment, it is only listed in the PS4 and PS5 version.
Resident Evil Complete Bundle
Since the game ties directly to the events of Resident Evil 7, Capcom is also releasing an edition with both games, so you can get a taste of the full story. We do not know if it will be something purely digital (buy now, start playing RE7 and you can preload RE Village when it is available) and if it will also have a physical edition. The RE7 version is the Gold with all the content.
The thing has not stopped there, and Capcom has also shown the incentives to reserve the game on PlayStation Store, although it does not rule out that they will be sold later, and that they are included in the physical copies of the game. These will be objects of a single consumption, which will give us specific advantages in the adventure. This is a Mr. Raccoon Accessory and a Survival Pack
Remember that if you already have a PS5, from today you can start testing the exclusive Resident Evil Village demo, and that later, in spring, another new demo will be released for all platforms, different from this first one.
