The Remake 2016 by Ratchet and Clank by Insomniac Games is one of the most popular first-party exclusives released during the PS4 generation and now the title will receive a update for PS5. The developer recently announced, via his Twitter account, that the next-gen optimization patch will arrive on next month. Here are all the details.

Ratchet and Clank of 2016 will touch the next-generation firsthand. The new update will allow PS5 owners to run theI play at 60 frames per second. Everyone who owns a copy of PlayStation 4 in digital format or physicistthey will receive the update for free. Additionally, the update will be available to users who play Ratchet & Clank via the PlayStation Plus Collection.

The patch comes at an interesting time for the Ratchet & Clank franchise as the highly anticipated sequel to the game, Rift Apartis expected to be output as PlayStation 5 exclusive right on June 11th. More importantly, the 2016 remake is currently free on PlayStation 4 as part of Sony’s “Play at Home” initiative, with the offer available until March 31 at 8PM PT / 11PM ET. No PS Plus membership is required to redeem the game, you can quietly download it to your console and play without needing a subscription.
