Port Royale 4: Buccaneers arrives the game’s debut DLC

Publisher Kalypso Media and Gaming Developer Minds Studios Announce Trade Sim Port Royale 4 Debut DLC “Buccaneers”. The DLC is available now and allows players to step into the shoes of an infamous 17th century buccaneer. The new expansion is available for purchase through the Kalypso Store, Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, while the Nintendo Switc version will be available later this year.

In the Buccaneers DLC piracy is at its peak and players will have to work hard to become a notorious 17th century Caribbean buccaneer. The expansion introduces the all-new “Buccaneer” game mode in which budding freebooters can form their crew, capture or build their pirate fleet, and deal with the infamous Jolly Roger as they explore 12,000,000 square kilometers of Sparkling and unexplored Caribbean.

After becoming familiar with their wooden leg, players can freely decide where to aim their telescope: towards settlements scattered around the mainland or towards the navy, to ensure dominion over the waters.

Port Royale 4 – Buccaneers is now available for Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One and includes brand new missions, additional gameplay features and an extended soundtrack. Here are the main features of the expansion:

• New “Buccaneer Mode”: Choose your hometown and raid other colonial nations like a true swordsman
• Capture your opponents’ ships or build your own fleet of privateers in the shipyard, including the Pirate Barque and Pirate Galleon
• Become a privateer for other nations to increase your fame and infamy
• Attack the cities of other nations and add them to your sovereign territory
• New game goals and missions focused on piracy, combat and conquest
• New “pirate” aesthetic for the buildings and cities of your nation
• New music during naval battles
