Pearl Abyssthe development studio that gave birth to Black Desert Online, has just released its plan for creating the Pearl Abyss Art Center. According to what the company has declared, it will be a structure specialized in research on gaming technologies and game design. The site will be built in South Korea.

For the construction of the structure, Pearl Abyss is investing 30 billion won (about 26 million dollars). The building will have five floors with a total area of ​​5000 square meters and will be located in Pyeongchon, Anyang City. This Art Center will be the largest art center of the Korean gaming industry and the opening is currently scheduled for the first half of 2022.

The Pearl Abyss Art Center will consist of various departments among which stand out a new motion capture studio, which will be built as a large column-free space of 1000 square meters. The studio will feature a floor-to-ceiling height of over 9 meters and well 150 cameras motion capture, which should allow for more varied and efficient motion capture than the industry standard.
