NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series: all custom ratio
We are talking about nothing else now: NVIDIA has recently announced the GeForce RTX 30 series cards, based on Ampere architecture. After the launch of the Founders Edition products, here are the first custom models of the new GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070. Zotac, Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, EVGA, Gainward, Colorful and Inno3D have shown their proposals and we have we summarize them with pleasure.
Before proceeding, we also remind you that, during the ROG Meta Buffs, Asus has launched not only the new generation cards, but many other products related to gaming and here you will find a small summary.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3090 or RTX 3070: which one to choose?
Before going into the details of each brand, we want to quickly recall what are the characteristics of each card.
Let’s start immediately with the top of the range shown, the GeForce RTX 3090; it is a board with 10496 Cuda Core, 1695 MHz (Boost) frequency (GPU), 24 GB GDDR6X memory, a memory bus of 384 bit and a TDP of 350 W. We are talking about a very powerful card that could be perfect for those who, in addition to being gamers, are also content creators.
Following we have the GeForce RTX 3080: in this case we find 8704 Cuda Corea GPU frequency of 1710 MHz (Boost), a memory 10GB GDDR6Xa bus of 320 bits and a TDP of 320 W. This is certainly the most tempting gaming proposition launched.
To finish we have the GeForce RTX 3070, the “low-end” card. The little monster features 5888 Cuda Core, 1725 MHz (Boost) in frequency, 8 GB GDDDR6 of memory, a bus of 256 bits and a DPT of 220 W.
Gigabyte Aorus solutions
We inaugurate the custom section of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 3070 and 3090 with the proposals of Gigabyte Aorus. In detail, they were presented four new models: AORUS GeForce RTX 3090 XTREME, AORUS GeForce RTX 3090 MASTER, AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME And AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 MASTER.
The most important variation with respect to the references lies in the dissipation system. All the proposed alternatives have an impressive dissipating con Vapor Chamber technology cooled by three fans with alternating and intelligent rotation.
The installed fans have different sizes and are built with a particular wind-claw design that allows you to maximize the air flow. For more information, you can directly consult the official website.
GeForce RTX 3080 by Asus ROG
After Gigabyte it is the turn of Asus ROG, of which we have already seen the proposals in the dedicated article. To sum up, the brand offers the GeForce RTX 3090, 3080 and 3070 ROG Strix, Dual and TUF Gaming models. The former have a metal cover and a triple fan heatsink, the lateral ones have 11 blades, while the central one 13. These cards occupy about 3 PCI slots and support the proprietary technologies Auto-Extreme, Max Contact, FanConnect II. However, Asus does not stop at the Strix and presents the Dual model (precisely with double fan) and TUF Gaming.
MSI is not missing the appeal
Punctual as always, the proposals from MSI also arrive; for this new 30 series of NVIDIA GeForce RTX, the brand comes forward with ben 14 models belonging to families Gaming Trio And Ventus.
As for the Gaming Trio series, the proposals are: GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming Trio X, GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming Trio, GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Trio X, GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Trio, GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming Trio X And GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming Trio.
In detail, these models feature a Custom PCB, TRI FROZR triple fan heatsink 2 and fans TORX FAN 4.0 of the new generation. All to ensure maximum efficiency in dissipation. Do not miss the classic lighting system MSI Mystic Light, as always modifiable through the management software.
The models MSI GeForce RTX 30 Ventus they prove to be less colorful and perhaps more essential. Again we find a TORX FAN 3.0 triple-fan dissipation system, with dual-fan options for the GeForce RTX 3070 model.
In detail, the products shown are: MSI GeForce 3090 Ventus 3X OC, GeForce 3090 Ventus 3X, GeForce 3080 Ventus 3X OC, GeForce 3080 Ventus 3X, GeForce 3070 Ventus 3X OC, GeForce 3070 Ventus 3X, GeForce 3070 Ventus 2X OC and GeForce 3070 Ventus 2X OC.
EVGA the most beautiful of the beautiful
EVGA shows what is perhaps the most intriguing of the custom versions of the new GeFroce RTX 30. At launch, the brand has to offer 11 different models.
They are present well 5 models for the GeForce RTX 3090: EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 KINGPIN Edition (air / liquid hybrid), HYDRO COPPER, HYBRID, FTW3 And XC3.
Model FTW3 makes use of the new iCX3 dissipation system with triple cooling fan, ARGB lighting system and unified copper block to extract heat from GPU and memory chip.
As for the model EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 here too we have roughly the same variants, except the KINGPIN Edition (which will only be there for the top of the range). There GeForce RTX 3070, will be available in FTW3 and XC3 versionswith triple fan heatsink.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and RTX 3090 by Zotac
It follows Zotac announcing the products: GAMING GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity, GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity And GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge. The proposals are not finished, as there is also talk of the arrival of four more models: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3090 AMP Extreme, GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Extreme, GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity Holo And GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge Holo.
The versions Zotac GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Trinity feature a IceStorm 2.0 triple fan heatsink, a metal cover, a sturdy backplate with RGB LEDs and a Spectra 2.0 lighting system.
The version Zotac GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge Instead, it has a dual-fan dissipation system and the RGB LED lighting system is also missing.
Palit and its sobriety
Also Palit do not miss the opportunity to show what an interesting proposal. In fact, the new custom variants arrive Game Rock And GamingPro.
The company focuses on coloring, which is gaudy and not so sober. Game Rock, in particular, offers eye-catching customizable ARGB lighting.
The GamingPro, on the other hand, is “more sober”, showing a more contained lighting. It features a triple fan heatsink with Turbo FAN 3.0. In addition to this we have an aluminum lamellar body and copper heatpipe. All LEDs will be managed by the Palit ThunderMaster.
The version GamingPro features factory overclocking for the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 models, but not for the RTX 3070. In detail, the GPU Boost frequency is 1725 MHz (RTX 3090) and 1740 MHz (RTX 3080).
The RTX 30 Series by Colorful
The proposals of the Colorful house also received the appeal, a company known for its particular look. Real models shown, but no total white version. We have: GeForce RTX 30 Vulcan, Neptune, Advanced, Ultra, Battle-Ax and NB. For all versions we have a triple fan dissipation, with the exception of the Neptune equipped with a liquid cooler.
Gainward and his Phoenixes
Nothing surprises for Gainward presenting the line GeForce RTX 30 Phoenix. At the moment we are only talking about GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, with full-cover triple fan heatsink and ARGB lighting that can be customized via software.
Present two overclocked modelsGeForce RTX 3090 GS (Golden Sample) and RTX 3080 GS, with frequencies of 1725 MHz and 1740 MHz respectively.
Inno3D closes the sequence
To finish we show the proposals of the Inno3D house which shows only the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, in three different variations.
The top of the range is the version iCHILL X4; the card even presents 4 cooling fans: three on the heatsink and one on the 4.5cm side to better cool the mosfets.
Then follows the variant iCHILL X3 which always features an RGB LED system, backplate and three-fan dissipation.
To finish we also have a more entry level version, namely the GEFORCE RTX 3080 TWIN X2 OC(and soon the RTX 3070 TWIN X2 OC). We have, therefore, dual fan dissipation, asymmetrical backplate and no RGB.
