Mobile gaming is increasingly popular in Italy
Mobile gaming continues to grow in Italy. The confirmation comes from the second article of Deloitte’s Digital Consumer Trends study which analyzes consumer behavior in the gaming sector. According to the data collected, 61% of Italian users are mobile gamers. The figure is above the European average.
Italians increasingly attracted to mobile gaming
More and more Italian users are interested in mobile gaming. The confirmation comes from the Deloitte study which highlights how 61% of the sample analyzed in Italy is a “mobile gamer”. The figure is higher than the European average, equal to 56%, but lower than the 90% recorded among Chinese users.
The growth rate is 7% compared to 2019. This mobile gaming trend involves women (+ 11%) and 45-54 year-olds (+ 10%) in particular. Furthermore, according to the data, mobile games are daily entertainment for 20% of users (a figure in line with the European average).
It should also be noted that the smartphone, after the notebook, is the most used device for watching eSports content (51%).
The most popular game types
The Deloitte survey confirms that the types of games most appreciated by users are casual / puzzle (25%), cards (20%), board/word (14%) e simulation (10%). These categories recorded an increase of four percentage points compared to 2019.
The most popular game mode is that single player as underlined by 9 out of 10 Italians. In recent months there has also been growth for multiplayer games with friends and relatives, which recorded an increase of four percentage points.
