Miravilius: the startup that makes even those who can’t travel the world
Miravilius: the startup that guides people through virtual tours to discover cities around the world.
Being able to move, go back to travel: a mechanism that in these tiring months the whole world is trying to reactivate, yet there is a large slice of the population that does not have the possibility to move freely. So how to get to know new places comfortably seated at home? With virtual tours, discovering cities around the world.
Miravilius: the objectives of the platform
Making the travel experience accessible to everyone: “From the very beginning – says Massimiliano La Rocca, founder of the project – our goal has been to support the tourism sector that has been inactive for too long. Our project intends to make both Italian and foreign-based tourist guides work as much as possible, especially in places that live off international tourism. We want to keep the interest and curiosity high in the places yet to be discovered that we are lucky enough to have on our planet and knowing that we are giving this opportunity to people who live in particular situations fills us with pride “.
To be clear, from March 2021 the tourist guides that have become part of the Miravilius community are
increased by 200%, confirming the interest that the project is also attracting among operators in the sector.
A point of reference also for the elderly
The over 80s were undoubtedly the category most affected by the pandemic, especially those in retirement homes. Thanks to some collaborations with the RSAs, the virtual tours also arrived there: 25 guests of the Casa Sacro Cuore in Pianello del Lario, for example, were able to experience the magic of a virtual trip to Paris, complete with a surprise connection. of the granddaughter of one of the guests, who lives in the transalpine capital.
Challenges towards the future
The next virtual tour target? From September, try to “engage” schools, with pupils who, not being able to organize school trips, would certainly have a great little opportunity to get to know some corner of the world.
Then the medium-long term “mission”: “Today the Miravilius Live Tours – says Chiara Lévêque, Miravilius Marketing Manager – are in Italian and Spanish, but from October we will launch the schedule in English for the Anglo-Saxon markets and beyond: many of our virtual travelers are people passionate about foreign languages who also travel with us to train the language. Today many Italian students from all over the world follow us and we are delighted to have them with us! ”
Since the birth of the project, more than 200 Live Tours organized by Miravilius have led users (increased by 300% in the period March – July 2021) to discover numerous Italian and foreign cities.
The Miravilius Live Tours today touch all continents except Oceania… But we can bet that they will arrive soon! The rapid development of the Spanish market has prompted the Miravilius startup to open a second office in Spain, in Malaga (in addition to those already present in Italy in Milan and Salerno), a choice that has given the Miravilius team the opportunity to find new members and expand from 3 to 15 people in a matter of months.
