Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac reveals post-launch content

May 1, 2022

There is just over a week left until the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man, highly anticipated exclusive PlayStation 4 arriving Friday 7 September. A few hours ago the good James Stevenson, Community Lead of Insomniac Games, was able to reveal the complete program of the first post-launch content of the game, through an official post published on the PlayStation Blog.

Insomniac’s action / adventure – known for being the birthplace of the Spyro and Ratchet & Clank series, among other things – will keep us busy for tens of hours with its free-roaming formula and single-player campaign, but the developers have prepared a glutton Episodic DLC which will enrich Marvel’s Spider-Man offering with new missions and additional challenges.

So let’s find out what awaits us there The city that never sleeps.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps

This is the title of the series of add-ons that will be distributed starting from the next one October 23, with the launch of the first chapter entitled The robbery.

On that occasion, our friendly neighborhood Spidey will meet Felicia Hardy, known to most as Black Cat – or Black Cat, if you prefer. Spider-Man is the recipient of the mysterious clues hidden by the skilled thief in the streets and skyscrapers of Manhattan. Following in the footsteps of Black Cat we will undertake some exclusive missions in which our hero will collide with a new enemy faction – and will also have the option to unlock three new costumes for her super wardrobe.

We will continue to November with the second episode of The city that never sleeps, entitled Contested territories. The circle will close with Silver Lining, which will instead be distributed in the month of December.

So, in summary, here’s the Marvel’s Spider-Man post-launch content calendar:

  • The city that never sleeps: The robbery – October 23
  • The city that never sleeps: Contested territories – November
  • The city that never sleeps: Silver Lining – December

Players who purchase theDigital Deluxe Edition of the PS4 title will have access to the full game and all three add-ons to Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. We reiterate, therefore, that the appointment with Spider-Man is set for Friday 7 September.

We’ll get caught in that New York?
