Among the four available tracks of the project, Lirius Games has chosen “From science to science fiction: imagining possible futures through video games”. The first prize of the contest came thanks to the iF concept, a turn-based strategy video game in which the player can restore the ecosystem and save the world from extinction. Alternatively, the game concept provides the ability to control the climate and “challenge” the five continents.

Lirius Games has conquered the prize money of 3,000 euros and prepares for the incubation and of team expansion. After the contest, therefore, the path that will lead to the creation of a video game begins. The project will not only be educational but will have to interest video game enthusiasts. Lazio Innova will continue to follow the growth of the team and the project.

The Lazio Gaming Project Sprint registered the participation of seven teams, made up of game development students and video game developers. Each team was able to choose the theme of the concept from four tracks provided by IIDEA, partner of the project. For more details you can consult the IIDEA website.

The comment from Lirius Games

Sónia Gonçalves by Lirius Games states:I am an economist, economics teacher and researcher, who in recent months has lived the world and the universe of video games by studying the role that the video game has had in the existence of an enthusiast like Giacomo during a very particular period, even emotionally , like that of the quarantine. For this project we decided to leverage our specific skills to create a turn-based strategy that could combine these two aspects “.
