Koogeek already has its skill for Alexa in Spanish, this is how it is installed

Koogeek has been one of the brands that has contributed the most to spreading HomeKit throughout everyone’s homes thanks to offering us devices compatible with the Apple platform at prices lower than those of the competition. What many do not know is that it is also compatible with many accessories with Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant.and therefore we can use them with their smart speakers, which are having a great time this Christmas.

We were waiting for Koogeek to update his skill to be available in Spanish, and the time has come. You can now download the Koogeek skill and install it on your Amazon Echo and other speakers with Alexa, and thus control your light bulbs, plugs, etc by voice. Enjoying the advantages of HomeKit and Alexa at the same time is possible, and it’s great news. Contrary to what we are used to with HomeKit and the HomePod, in Alexa the accessories require an installation and configuration process, and here we explain how it is done.

Amazon Music: You can create a playlist by speaking to Alexa

How to install the Koogeek skill

The first step you need to take is to open the Alexa app on your iPhone and select the “Devices” tab in the bottom right corner. Then select “My Digital Home Skills” and then click on “Activate Digital Home Skills” at the bottom. Then a window will appear with several skills, but the one we are looking for does not appear there, so You must click on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner and write “Koogeek”. The only result that it will offer you is exactly what we are looking for, and all you have to do is install it and enter your Koogeek account and password in one of the installation steps.

You can now control Apple Music on Sonos with Alexa

Once installed, it will automatically detect the devices you have installed on your network and automatically add them. Later you can change the name or even group them to treat them together. Once added to Alexa, you will be able to use the compatible speakers to turn lights, plugs, etc. on and off. In this first version of Koogeek in Spanish for Alexa there are many users complaining that it does not work well. If a Koogeek accessory is not working properly, or is not detected, open the Koogeek app, go to the settings of that particular accessory and scroll down to the “Third party connections” section, in the “Alexa” section choose “Configure /Reconfigure” and the problem will be solved.
