PlayStation 5 is finally launched in Spain, and we offer you the more useful tips to get the most out of your console. This is not only about our PS5 review, but we have dedicated special content to how the Dualsense controller works or how to configure the 3D sound of the PS5.
Now we advance you one of the most practical functions of the console, which is available in both the disc drive model and the digital PS5.
There is a way to buy games and applications and download them to our PS5 remotely, without the need to access the console. Here we explain how to manage remote downloads in different ways.
But what is this “remote” content download for? Well it is a way of add games to our PS5 library from anywhere, and so they are ready to play when we get to our house, no need to wait.
The easiest way to download remotely to PS5 is via the PlayStation smartphone app (iOS and Android). This application has been updated to support the new console, and includes features such as messaging integration, PlayStation Store access, news, voice chat, and groups.
Downloads to PS5 through the app
The application PlayStation also allows us to access the game library (with all those purchases we have made). We just have to click on one of our purchases, and we will have the option to download the game to PS5 from anywhere.
Of course, this option requires the console to be plugged in and connected to the internet. And thanks to the application we can also remotely run the games, manage the storage of our console or quickly register with our user profile.
If we do not have a smartphone or we do not have the application, also we can manage our PS5 remotely through the Playstation.com website, which requires us to register with our user.
Where our purchased games appear on PS5
The games that we have downloaded remotely will appear on our PS5. To see all the purchases we have made with our account, we can go to the library, on the right side of the interface. From the PS5 game library we can download and manage all purchases.
Our purchases for both PS5 and PS4 appear in the PS5 games library. To facilitate the search for games we can change the filters, by platform, by age, that are bought or installed …
Remember that when you have the console, Sony recommends how to place the PS5 at home to ensure its correct operation. If you have not yet decided on one of the new generation consoles, here is the comparison of PS5 v Xbox Series X.
