First images showing all three (supposed) iPhone 7 models together: iPhone 7 Pro, iPhone 7 Plus and the 'normal'

Leaks about Apple's next smartphone continue to appear (allegedly). Until now, almost all rumors claimed that the iPhone 7 Plus would be the advanced model, the one that would come with a dual camera and a Smart Connector. Some analysts have long claimed that in 2017 we will see 3 iPhone models: the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the most limited of all, the iPhone 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch screen and the iPhone 7Proa model with a dual camera and the smart connector that Apple introduced with the iPad Pro in September 2015.

Shortly after the analysts' news, rumors claimed that the iPhone 7 Plus would be the advanced model, but there were also timid rumors that continued to bet on the iPhone 7 Pro. These timid rumors are gaining a little more strength today since they appeared on Weibo, the “Chinese Twitter”, two images showing the alleged three models which Apple will present next September. But there's something in the following image that makes us remain skeptical.

Will the iPhone 7 Pro finally arrive or not?

Last year, Apple introduced a small detail on the iPhone 6s: to differentiate the 2014 model from the 2015 model, they decided to add a “S” under the word “iPhone” which is located on the back of the device. After introducing an “S” model in 2015, what’s the point of the iPhone 7 also being branded with said “S” on the back? If we think about it, and as long as these images were real, we can only think that what they are going to present this year will not be called « iPhone 7 », but it will be an update of the iPhone 6s, that is to say, what we will see in September will be an “iPhone 6Ss”.

There is no controversy: the camera and Home button of the iPhone 7 are made of sapphire

Personally, I am of the opinion that they are the “S” models that include more new features interesting. For example, Touch ID and 64-bit on the iPhone 5s or 3D Touch, 12Mpx and the second generation of the aforementioned Touch ID on the iPhone 6s. We also recall that the iPhone 4S included a 60% better camera than the iPhone 4 and Siri. By this I mean that if Apple decides to launch an « S » version after a model that was already « S », we can only think that it will include major internal improvements. Otherwise it would be the biggest disappointment since (for me) the iPhone 5.

After explaining this, we have to talk about the cameras of these supposed iPhone 7s: the standard and Plus models would arrive with a larger camera than the one present in the iPhone 6s, so, if a rumor is true, they could all two have one. 21Mpx camera. Next we have the iPhone 7 Pro which will include a dual camera of, according to the same rumor, 12+12Mpx. On the other hand, we can also see the Smart Connector which would allow the most advanced model to use accessories not available for the other two models.

In any case, this “leak” is no different from the others and we must remains skeptical until September. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to launch two models that are well below the high end. What do you think?
