Sony turns into a catch-all ace. The multinational of Japanese origins has in fact won 7 awards at the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) Awards 2021.

EISA Camera of the Year 2021-2022: Alpha 1

With Alpha 1, the photographer no longer has to compromise between resolution and speed, as usually happens, because this model offers both. At the heart of the camera is the 50.1 megapixel stacked full-frame Exmor RS ™ CMOS image sensor combined with the extraordinary read speed of the BIONZ XR ™ processor, which allows continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second with uninterrupted, latency-free viewing through the electronic viewfinder. The dual action shutter system allows a flash sync speed of as little as 1/400 seconds, or 1/200 seconds with the electronic shutter. Designed to offer levels of versatility never before achieved by a camera, Alpha 1 has industry leading video capabilities, recording video in 8K (7680 × 4320) 30p 4: 2: 0 10-bit. Equipped with the most advanced and fastest technologies for data transfer, it guarantees professionals efficient workflows and greater operations in tethering, ideal for the most demanding photographers.

EISA Photo / Video Camera 2021-2022: Alpha 7S III

Alpha 7S III allows you to shoot in 4K of amazing quality. Thanks to the 12.1 megapixel back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R ™ CMOS image sensor, the camera ensures excellent performance at high sensitivities, with ISO expandable to 409,600 and rolling shutter effect reduced to a minimum. Full pixel readout results in ultra-sharp, clean footage with no crop, while in 4K / 60p mode you can record for over an hour in slow motion. Recording is also available in 4K at 120p and in Full HD at 240p. The camera internally records 10-bit video with 4: 2: 2 color sampling and offers 16-bit RAW format output to compatible recorder via HDMI. Subjects are perfectly framed and tracked by both the 3 ”side-opening tilting LCD screen and an industry-leading OLED electronic viewfinder with its 9.44 million dots. Finally, an optimal workflow is guaranteed for video production thanks to S-Cinetonewhich is accompanied by full HDMI connectivity for both recording and video processing and an infallible autofocus with Sony’s exclusive Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF technology, ideal for shooting with a single operator or small scale.

EISA Standard Lens 2021-2022: FE 50 mm F1.2 GM

This unique prime lens combines spectacular quality with a bright F1.2 aperture, all in an incredibly compact and lightweight design. The newly developed 11-blade circular diaphragm and XA (extreme aspherical) elements of the lens work in synergy to deliver beautiful bokeh effects. The four XD (eXtreme Dynamic) linear motors ensure fast and precise autofocus and tracking functions. In addition, the aperture ring can be set to step or stepless operation – ideal for both stills and videos. The optics FE 50 mm F1.2 GM represents an efficient and versatile tool for content creators for portraits, wedding services, video shooting and much more.

Sony’s latest innovations in optical design and manufacturing techniques are encapsulated in this extremely compact 14mm F / 1.8 lens – an ultra wide-angle fixed focal length with a large aperture that is as practical to take outdoors as it is easy to use in the studio. The fact that dimensions and weight are reduced does not in any way penalize the quality of the images or the reliability needed in the most demanding situations of use. The lens is also extremely compact, considering it has a 122 ° angle of view and a bright maximum aperture of F2.8. The VPL-VW590ES is a 4K native 1,800 lumen projector with great versatility. Thanks to the “X1 ™ for projector” image processor, based on the same technology used on Sony TVs, but optimized for image projection, it offers an HDR view of incredible clarity.
