BMW Italia delivers its first electric car to the Municipality of Verona
The Municipality of Verona begins the transition to electric mobility. BMW Italia has, in fact, delivered two new vehicles to the Veronese city administration. In addition to a new generation BMW 1 Series with a euro 6 diesel engine, there is also an electric BMW. The Municipality of Verona will be able to count on an electric BMW i3s.
The new representative car of the Municipality of Verona is an electric BMW
It will be there new electric BMW i3s to fill the role of representative car of the Municipality of Verona. The local administration, for the first time, is focusing on zero-emission mobility for its car fleet. The electric BMW will be used on a number of occasions and for zero-emission transport in the municipality area.
The delivery of the two new cars took place in Piazza Bra, one of the most iconic places in Verona, in the presence of the mayor, the councilor for procurement planning and the main executives of BMW Italy, starting with the President and CEO Massimiliano Di Silvestre.
The new cars arrive on loan for free use
The two new BMWs delivered to the Municipality of Verona will remain at the administration’s service for the next few 24 months. The public purse will not have to pay any amount to BMW Italia which makes the new models available on free loan against the sponsorship of the car manufacturer.
The “BMW for the Municipality of Verona” logo will be displayed on the side of the two vehicles made available by BMW Italia on loan for use. This is a new chapter of the ‘A car in… Municipality’ initiative that the administration has activated to reduce public spending.
