BMW Group: first half of 2021 in strong growth
B.MW Group closes the first half of 2021 with excellent results. The company has delivered over 1.33 million vehicles worldwide, considering its brands (BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce). For the Bavarian group, this result translates into a growth of + 39.1% compared to the data recorded in the first half of last year, a period heavily conditioned by the pandemic. In addition, in the second quarter of 2021, the company delivered 702,000 vehicles with an improvement of + 44% compared to the previous year. To be reported further 153 thousand electrified vehicles deliveredi (+ 148%) in the half year.
BMW Group: revenues and profits grow
The first half of 2021 closes with excellent financial data for the BMW Group. The company registers revenues of 55,360 million euros (+ 28.1%, corrected for currency factors: + 31.1%). The group closed the semester with a net profit of 7,623 million euros and with an EBT margin of 17.6%.
During the quarter ended June 30, the group delivered 617,000 BMW vehicles and 83,000 MINI vehicles. Rounding out the sales are 1,609 units of Rolls-Royce. On the European market, on the other hand, the group recorded a first half of + 35% of units sold.

Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, says: “Our performance benefited from strong customer demand during the first half of the year, enabling us to achieve significant growth. However, in light of a number of risks, including commodity prices and a shortage of semiconductors, the second half is likely to be more volatile for the BMW Group “
