Assassin’s Creed Origins: the sequel will be titled Adder?
About a month after the successful launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there are rumors about the next chapter in the series. According to a member of ResetEra, there would have been an information leak revealing the next title: Assassin’s Creed Adder, scheduled for 2020.
Adder: The protagonist is a familiar face
This leak It dates back to almost a month ago, where a Reddit user posted a low resolution image showing the title of this supposed chapter and giving a brief description of it. The author claims that Adder would be nothing more than the title of the sequel to Origins: here we will be grappling with the story of Aya, intent on founding a guild in Ancient Rome.
The protagonist will be joined by her husband Bayek – hero of the episode set in Egypt – which, however, will only be playable in some missions.
The title will see the introduction of a combat system apparently inspired by Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – third installment of the series – as well as showing a new ranking mode, easier to climb. As the aforementioned post published on Reddit states, “the game will be a collaborative project between Montreal and Quebec, with the return of Melissa MacCoubrey”.
Of course, we should expect imminent news regarding this matter, but it is equally true that we should take this information *** granum salis: leaks are quite common, especially about games. Ubisoft, and it is possible that the posted image is still authentic.
In any case, we will have to wait a little longer before we can see an official announcement from the French giant.
