Apple Stores match prices to other physical stores
It had already been commented that Apple stores in the US matched prices with other physical stores, like Walmart. Other media supported this disclosure, stating that the iPhone 5c and iPad Air were included.
In Spain we have fierce competition from other surfaces such as MediaMarkt, Fnac, El Corte Ingles, etc. The same thing happens?
According to an employee of an Apple Store in the US, Apple has an official price match policy, which allows specialists to match prices with the competition on iPhone, iPad and Mac, being able to offer up to a 10 percent discount on these products without the need for authorization. The same source reports that business customers can receive up to a 20 percent discount on non-Apple accessories when purchased together with an Apple product.
On Spain We do not have confirmation that this discount policy is a fact, but we do physical stores match prices with the competition. The well-known MediaMarkt offers are matched in Apple stores without problem, you just have to request the match price from the specialist who attends you. The advantages of this are innumerable, but just remember the warranty, the setup service, etc.
These discounts are excluding with those that derive from being a student, business, etc. But they are very interesting in times when there are launches of offers of the “day without VAT” type since they represent a 21% discount. I insist that these discounts they do not apply to third party products or services.
