Apple announces Business Essentials
The new subscription plan allows you to configure, implement and manage Apple products also during hybrid and smart working. In addition, all employees will have access to an app with the same name as the service that allows them to freely download corporate tools, such as Webex or Microsoft Word.
“With Apple Business Essentials, Collections allows IT staff to configure settings and apps for individual users, groups or devices,” explains Apple. “When employees log into their corporate or personal device with their work credentials, Collections automatically forces settings such as VPN configurations and WI-FI passwords. In addition, Collections will install the new Apple Business Essentials app on each employee’s home screen, where they will be able to download their assigned corporate apps, such as Cisco Webex or Microsoft Word ”.
Apple Business Essentials will be available only in the United States for now, as a free beta for companies with up to 500 employees. The service will be officially available starting since spring 2022. Prices will vary dat $ 2.99 a month per user up to $ 12.99, depending on how much iCloud space they use. There will also be an option to add AppleCare + for support around the clock, every day, and up to two repairs per subscription per year.
