An important partnership for the gaming smartphone sector
RedMagicthe Nubia brand dedicated to gaming smartphones, today announced a major strategic partnership with Tencent Gamesestablishing a research center on games with the aim of offering the better mobile gaming experience both on the software and hardware side and promote esports together.
The collaboration will begin with the launch of a Tencent Games version of the next gaming smartphone Red Magic 6which will arrive in China in the first quarter of 2021.

The announcement of the collaboration between RedMagic and Tencent Games took place during the event “Race to the Peak”, where the partnership was formalized and signed. The two sides will work together to explore the needs of the players and significantly improve their gaming experience. Yu Hang, co-founder and senior vice president of Nubia Technology, said it was imperative that hardware and software companies create a deep synergy between them.
Tencent Games is a leading mobile game company, with over 800 million players around the world. To give you an idea, it is owner of Riot Games, owns 80% of Grinding Gear Games51% of SuperCell he developed Clash of Clans. It also owns 40% of Epic Games and small parts of BlueHole (PUBG), Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard.
RedMagicinstead, it pushed the boundaries of smartphone gaming, with 144Hz AMOLED screens, optimized cooling technologies and much more. The strategic collaboration allows for further strengthening of research and development in the sector and both companies will benefit from it.
RedMagic will use the game acceleration engine SolarCorecustomized by Tencent Games, which will allow for a higher refresh rate, a lower delay and a faster touch response speed.
The Tencent edition of the RedMagic 6 smartphone will soon arrive in China
The two companies will use their experience in their respective fields, with unprecedented software and hardware integration. Yu Hang has revealed that the first product to benefit from these integrations will be RedMagic’s next flagship device – Tencent Red Magic 6 – which will be presented in China in the first quarter of 2021.
