AMD introduces the new Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU
AMD unveiled the latest addition to the Radeon RX 6000 series, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics cardcustom designed to deliver exceptional performance, vivid images and incredible gaming at 1440p. Here are the specs, price and release date of the new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
The specifications of the new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card
The new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT has incredible features, such as the Revolutionary AMD RDNA 2 gaming architecture, 96 MB of AMD Infinity Cache and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. The GPU delivers up to 2x the gaming performance in select titles, with surprising new features compared to previous generation graphics cards. It also provides more than 165 FPS in select eSports titles.
Thanks to its performance of gaming at 1440p High refresh at maximum settings, it represents the ideal upgrade for gamers who still play with graphics cards from three to four years ago.
Exceptional performance
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card is based on the 7 nm technology and onAMD RDNA 2 architecture, designed to offer the optimal combination of performance and energy efficiency. Additional features and capabilities include:
- AMD Infinity Cache: 96MB of last-level data cache on the GPU die provides up to 2.5x the bandwidth at the same power level as traditional architectures to deliver higher gaming performance.
- AMD Smart Access Memory: Higher performance coupled with AMD Ryzen 5000, or select Ryzen 3000 Series desktop processors, and AMD 500 Series motherboards. Thus providing AMD Ryzen processors with full access to high-speed GDDR6 graphics memory that can deliver an increase performance up to 16%.
- 12GB GDDR6 high speed VRAM: The new graphics card with 12GB of GDDR6 memory allows gamers to tackle the most demanding AAA titles of today and tomorrow. It’s designed to handle the growing texture loads and increasing graphics demands of today’s modern titles at higher resolutions and maximum settings.
- AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin: The latest update to the Radeon Software suite offers Variable Rate Shading support to Radeon Boost, increasing performance by up to 27% in fast-paced gaming scenarios; along with DirectX 12 support for Radeon Anti-Lag to reduce input-to-display response times, ensuring a competitive advantage in gameplay.
- DirectX Raytracing (DXR): AMD RDNA 2 based graphics cards are optimized to deliver real-time lighting, shadows and reflections with DXR. Paired with AMD FidelityFX, it can combine rasterized and raytraced effects for an ideal balance between image quality and performance.
Availability and price of the new AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
The Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card will be available on AMD’s official website and partners starting with Thursday, March 18 for a suggested retail price of $ 479. In addition to the version of AMD, in fact, models made by partners such as ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire and many others will be available.
