Amazon updates the Alexa app with hands-free mode
Amazon has initiated the release of a new update for the Alexa app, available on Android and iOS smartphones. The update is being distributed internationally and will allow users to control the Amazon assistant, via voice commands, without touching the phone, thus taking advantage of the new “hands-free” mode.

With the new update announced today by Amazon, Alexa will work in hands-free mode”On Android smartphones and iPhones. Users will be able to ask Google Assistant oa Siri to start Alexa and, afterwards, they will be able to ask the Amazon assistant to perform whatever task it is capable of.
This procedure will therefore allow you to access Alexa from your smartphone without the need to touch the device. Thanks to this update, the use of the assistant from a mobile device is considerably simplified. Previously, in fact, it was necessary to start the app and use the appropriate button to request his intervention.
With the “hands-free” mode it is possible make the most of all of Alexa’s capabilities. Through voice commands, without unlocking the phone, it will be possible to ask the assistant to manage streaming music, smart devices in the house and to perform all the other operations he is capable of.
