During the holidays, calls and video calls will keep us company, uniting many distant families and friends, who will not be able to be together. Alexa has therefore introduced a new feature, which increases the maximum number of users within a video call or call.
From today in fact, Up to seven friends or family can join a video call or group call, only with the use of the voice. By simply saying “Alexa, call my family”, for example it will be possible to connect with Echo devices such as Echo, Echo Dot or Echo Show. Also by creating and naming a group within their Alexa application, any member of that group can then initiate a call by saying: “Alexa, call ”.
Amazon wasn’t the only company that decided to facilitate video calling during the holiday season. Indeed also Zoom wanted to integrate a new functionality, which allows you to carry out unlimited video calls for free, removing the 40-minute block. This will make it possible to talk to family and friends without thinking about the time limit, but focusing on the content. For more details you can read our article.
