Accelerate application launch on LifeDrive
As we reported in a previous post, the Palm Life Drive uses a hard disk (microdrive) to save the applications and launches them from there, unfortunately that same space is used as work memory so the launch time of the applications can be from 6 to 12 seconds (whereas in any other Palm, they are launched immediately).
To solve this, an application called SharkCache has been launched, as Albert explains in CanalPDA:
LudusTech firm comes to the rescue with SharkCache, so we know the first program created specifically for the LifeDrive. SharkCache stores the slowest applications on disk in memory, either temporarily or permanently, so they load faster. The program reserves up to 4 MB of device memory for this function. You can choose between three operating modes for each application
The program costs $ 10 and can be obtained here.
